The company founder, who is an Army Veteran, was proactive in his civilian career while still on active duty in 2016. Being proactive 3-years before a 2-year retirement, he was on the journey of submitting resumes, going on multiple interviews, receiving job offers and negotiating salaries (after the job offer). From 2019 to 2022, our founder received 12 different job offers with salaries ranging from $75,000 to $160,000. Notice the timeline from 2016 to 2018 is missing. It was during these 2 years where he submitted 321 resumes, received 6 replies for interviews (that’s only 1.8%) and 0 job offers. His experience was not the issue; he acknowledged that his resume barely getting traction (underperformed) and his approach to interviewing lacked structure, awareness and proper preparation. This was also while undergoing Army TAP (Transition Assistance Program) services, workshops, and tutorials. During the summer of 2018, the company founder, reached out to two of his long-time friends, who were Corporate America C-Suite Executives, with questions for mentorship. He received the constructive feedback with open arms, quickly restructured his resume and interview tactics, and rolled out a more competitive A-player strategy. In January 2019, he received 2 offers for mid-level leadership roles, 1 from a Fortune50 company and the other from a Inc5000 company. In April 2019, he received 2 more mid-level management job offers from 2 different Fortune25 companies and he continued this practice through 2022 with receiving an Executive-level job offer and negotiated the base salary at $160,000 with quarterly performance bonuses added in total compensation.
Since 2019, he has also invested time with helping over a dozen of his friends in reviewing and/or enhancing their resumes and has prepared them for Winning the Interview. He experienced the same success in helping his friends prepare the right resume and interview approach, and he was seeing direct results. He noted how his friends secured job offers from Google, Mercedez-Benz, Georgia Department of Transportation, Frito-Lay, and Tennessee Titans just to name a few. In 2022, he decided to take his talents into business and continue to serve those whom he gave 20 years, 8 months and 5 days to…. Veterans.
